PSAT Prep

What is the PSAT/NMSQT?

The PSAT/NMSQT is a test that can qualify you for scholarships and other honors.

Here are the facts:

  • PSAT/NMSQT stands for Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
  • It’s a test that measures the skills you’ve developed in reading, math and writing.
  • Typically, students take the test as sophomores and juniors, although some take it earlier.
  • Your score in junior year might qualify you for scholarships because it is the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
  • The test is co-sponsored by the College Board and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

Jamie offers practice PSAT tests in the fall of each year to give you an early indication of how much test prep you need to reach your goal.

If you are a junior, your scores might qualify you for scholarships!
