Your EFC is your Expected Family Contribution. There are different ways to calculate it, so unfortunately I can’t give you a simple formula to figure yours. Your EFC will vary slightly at different colleges. But I can help you calculate your EFC during your free 30-minute consult, which you can schedule below.
30 minutes of one-on-one time with us can make the difference of
a lifetime to your child and your finances.
Let’s chat. We’ll help you get where you’re going!
Once you have your EFC, You’ll have a good starting point for deciding where to go to college. If your EFC is low, you’ll want to focus on schools that will meet 100% of demonstrated need (remember we discussed this in email #1?) If your EFC is high, a college that offers lots of merit-based aid is the way to go. There are lots of different situations and options, and we can help you work through them all.
If your spouse is balking at the idea of hiring a professional college planner, tell him/her that it all starts with a FREE 30-minute consult with us. We’d be happy to explain the whole process and put them at ease.
